University of Lincoln – replaces face-to-face education

The University of Lincoln has now switched to online teaching only and will continue to do so until the end of term. All staff, other than those essential to supporting students on campus, are now working remotely from home. Like everyone else, we are adapting to our new arrangements and look forward to collaborating and keeping in touch with our partners via Teams, Skype, phone call and email.

University of Lincoln’s Virtual Classroom

The University has put together a “Virtual Classroom” – a series of online interactive educational activities to replace some of our face-to-face engagement. We want to encourage and support our students to keep learning and are providing innovative and engaging ways to involve our community in online activities. Join us for Live Link-ups, Lincoln Live talks and our Lincoln Quiz. We’d like to invite you all to take part! https://www.lincoln.ac.uk/home/virtualclassroom/

Lincoln’s School of Engineering is Manufacturing Safety Visors

During these uncertain times, it is difficult to know how we can help make a difference to the immense challenges faced by the health service in combating the Covid-19 virus. We are delighted to tell you that the University of Lincoln is doing its part to help the healthcare workers in Lincolnshire. Our School of Engineering is manufacturing safety visors and other equipment for the United Lincolnshire Hospital Trust to use. The University is contributing a large part of the cost needed to produce the equipment, but we are asking your help to raise the remaining funds required. If you are able to, we would be grateful for any donations to support the work our colleagues are doing by contributing on JustGiving or send a donation marked ‘Lincoln Hospital Campaign’ to the Development Office, University of Lincoln, Brayford Pool.

It is now more important than ever that we pull together as a community. We would like to assure you that the University of Lincoln will continue to play its part in supporting partners, existing and new, during this period of uncertainty.
