Sector Champions

THMA members offer extremely high quality, responsive and integrated products and services supported by sector champion specialists based in the Hull & Humber World Trade Centre.

Renewable Energy

Team Humber Marine Alliance members are perfectly placed to support the growth of offshore and onshore wind energy, tidal and wave power, and biomass, biofuel and biowaste energy projects.

A cluster of more than 20 offshore and onshore wind power projects gives the Humber a major role in the UK’s establishment of renewable energy. These include existing wind farms and those at the development and planning stages.

Whether it is fabrication, vessel support or turbine access and maintenance, THMA members’ expertise stretches the entire length of the operation and maintenance supply chain for onshore and offshore wind farms.

Member companies are also playing an important part in the emergence of a genuine tidal and wave power industry in the Humber region.

The Humber is home to two significant tidal energy prototype projects, Neptune Renewable Energy’s Proteus and Pulse Tidal’s marine renewable device.

The Humber region provides one of the UK’s largest centres for biofuel production and biomass and biowaste electricity generation. These renewables are supported by continued investment and extensive, sophisticated supply chains.

THMA members’ capabilities in renewables include:
