Offshore Oil and Gas
The Humber is a centre of excellence for the oil and gas industries.
THMA companies have a wealth of experience in serving the exploration, installation, maintenance and decommissioning of oil and gas projects.
From the docks and ports to the rigs and platforms, to the seabed and the wellhead, and through the pipelines to storage, there is specific assistance for most aspects of an oil and gas project’s entire life cycle.
This includes survey work around the world, rig movements, and rig and pipeline inspection and maintenance.
The estuary’s ports are strategically placed between the UK’s two main hydrocarbon exploration and development centres of Aberdeen and Great Yarmouth, with easy access to the North Sea fields, plus the closer, inshore fields.
Industry-specific expertise is readily available as the Humber estuary is home to several onshore petro-chemical facilities including the Conoco Phillips and Total Killingholme oil refineries, and various petro-chemical works and oil and gas-fired power stations.
