Defence and Security
THMA members offer competitive, flexible and innovative products and services to meet the demands of the global defence and security marketplace and to respond to rapidly changing military needs.
Members supply the defence industry worldwide either directly with the Ministry of Defence, via its Defence Support Group, or by working in partnership with major contractors that supply Defence Equipment and Support, which supplies the UK's Armed Forces.
Members can also support Defence Estates in the maintenance, refurbishment and restitution of the UK Defence Estates and Defence Training Areas through the MOD's framework Prime Contractors.
Partners can be confident that the companies in the Alliance are at the forefront of their respective industries, have high-level public sector support, up-to-the-minute IT systems and skills training.
Recently THMA members have gained contracts to: provide laser cut and fabricated armour for military vehicles; supply and test equipment for aircraft carriers; supply nuclear, biological and chemical-proof dampers to the French Navy, and for the supply and repair of valves for the MOD. Members have also built ships for the Auxiliary fleet.
