RIOE (Research Institute for Ocean Economies) visit Humber

RIOE (Research Institute for Ocean Economies) who are a NPO and maritime industrial association in Japan.

The main purpose of the visit  which was organised by THMA and Aura (University of Hull) was to learn more about the advanced industry and infrastructure for offshore wind in UK.  Under the new law for promotion of offshore wind approved by Japanese Government last December, commercial size offshore wind projects are being developed in Japan, and they were keen to learn from UK organisations.
