MMS – uses stringent measures for keeping customers afloat

MMS are still operational during the Covid 19 Virus situation.
MMS Ship Repair has taken stringent steps to keep operational and service its regular customers to keep them going during this difficult period.
The shipyard has been split into 2 teams Red and Blue each team comprising of 25 staff.
Each team provides 7 days cover at the shipyard hence reducing the risk of any cross contamination, this includes tradesmen, stores, clerical, security and management.
Only essential sub-contractors or suppliers are allowed into the shipyard and have to wear face masks for any protection.
An MMS weekly letter is produced and sent to all of the staff to advise recommendations to keep safe throughout this period.
The shipyard is busy with schedule and emergency repair work and the photo shows 2 vessels in the company’s dry dock (see attached MMS Shipyard April 2020).
During March MMS delivered one of their ‘in house designed and built’ pollution control vessels to ABP Goole. The vessel model is an Envirocat Marina and has named ‘Bravo’ ABP and will be used to collect flotsam from all of the dock complexes in Goole. See attached photograph Bravo.
MMS Offshore have been busy with their three vessels MMS Crusader, MMS Supreme and MMS Superior working from the company’s own Grimsby support base. All three vessels have been working on local offshore wind and gas field projects. Duties have included survey work, cargo transportation and personnel transfers working up to 70 nautical miles offshore, something which the modern MMS fleet of 26 metre vessels are easily capable of doing.
