Industry-led from the outset, Team Humber Marine Alliance has earned great respect

Formed in 1993, Team Humber Marine Alliance started out as a small group of likeminded companies that wished to collaborate to create new business opportunities, improve skills in the Humber and access to funding streams.

From small beginnings the Alliance has grown to become the Humber region.s main recognised brand for marine engineering-related contracts in the six key sectors of renewable energy, offshore oil & gas, commercial shipping, inland waterways, defence & security and nuclear energy.

The latest chapter in its history began with a move to offices at World Trade Centre Hull & Humber in June 2008, and the receipt of significant funding from regional development company, Yorkshire Forward.

This heralded the start of increased activity on behalf of members, including attendance at industry shows and exhibitions, PR and marketing, enhanced networking opportunities and the appointment of sector champions to provide specific knowledge and assistance.

It sparked a rapid rise in membership, which by December 2009 had reached the 100 mark for the first time in its history.

In January 2011, it moved with the World Trade Centre Hull & Humber to new waterfront offices at 48 Queen Street, Hull and became a company limited by guarantee run by six director members.

Team Humber Marine Alliance has always remained industry-led, which has earned it respect from customers, the media and other partners, who recognise its great credibility.
