1.4 GW Sofia Wind Farm Seeks Offshore Contractors

August 25, 2021, by

The 1.4 GW Sofia offshore wind farm in the UK is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from potential suppliers to provide a range of goods and services related to the project’s offshore construction works.

The list of requirements includes aids to navigation; satellite communication system; marine management system; metocean buoys and LiDar; onshore site establishment; offshore resources including personnel and training; project charts and as-built surveys, and helicopter transport.

The scopes of work are listed as ‘Lots’ and they may be bundled into a smaller number of contracts where potential suppliers can demonstrate an ability to undertake a broader range of services, the developer said.

Interested contractors should provide a brief company profile to the Sofia Procurement team including details of their previous relevant experience.

A formal detailed Request for Information (RFI) will follow the assessment of EOIs.

The full list of what is required and how to register can be accessed here.

The EOIs are due in by Tuesday 21 September 2021.

Located on Dogger Bank, 195 kilometers from the nearest point on the UK’s North East coast, Sofia will feature 100 Siemens Gamesa 14 MW turbines.
